COVID-19 Resources for Small Businesses

welcome to an alternate universe

In this alternate universe, business as usual no longer applies.

The COVID19 crisis is affecting us all, and those of us who work for ourselves are feeling it acutely as we strive to come to terms with the new normal, and what that means.

No matter how dark or scary it may seem, know you’re not alone. There are a lot of us asking questions and figuring things out as we go.

You may be feeling optimistic, or dreading what’s next. Perhaps you’ve found some creativity emerging, only to feel deflated soon after. Or you’re so stressed you can’t think or prioritize, then enjoy a loving evening with those you care about (even if it’s virtually).

All of these are part of today’s reality, and this page in an offering of resources to help you through today and the coming months. Take care of yourself, do your best, and hang in there – there are a lot of us cheering you on. You’ve got this, and we’re here to help.

community work days

If you’re having trouble focusing or getting started, or want some companionship and accountability as you work, you’re not alone - and Community Work Days are here to help!

Community Work Days are group accountability co-working half-days, designed to keep you on track and feeling good about getting things done.

  • As we begin, you’ll introduce yourself and set a (realistic) goal for the half-day.
  • Then you’ll settle in for a spacious 75-minute work session.
  • Next is a break to make sure you’re doing OK, address any challenges that may have come up, and set you up for the next work session.
  • Then you’ll settle in for another 75-minute work session.
  • Lastly, you’ll report back to the group about what you got done, and share next steps.

logistics

I’ll be there the whole time, facilitating check-ins, helping with goal setting and accountability, and making sure you and the group are doing well. If you have a quick question or need some super quick spot coaching, I’m there to help.

  • These sessions will be held via Zoom video conferencing. No camera is required, although it makes the group more intimate and adds to a higher level of accountability.
  • Attendance is by registration only to keep the group safe for everyone.
  • These half-days are offered on a set your own price basis; everyone is welcome.

I look forward to working together and getting some things done!

community calls

How do we do business in this new climate? What’s appropriate for sales and marketing? How do you take care of yourself, your business, and those you love and care about, and stay sane, too?

I teamed up with C.J Hayden (Founder of Get Clients Now!) to deliver a series of open Q&A calls, as well as workshop-style conversations, to help answer these questions. The links below will take you to those recordings and offer some ideas and perspective on life and business in these changing times.
